Two reasons why people were smiling at the opening of the new Second Street Subway in New York this month.
First of course, the subway was opening.
Second, recognition of another inevitable change in society: diversity. The artwork on the subway murals had people of different ethnic background, age and sexual preference. Kinda reflecting the reality of society in the 21st century. Another win for trains!
