A wonder of the 21st century, my mother was awonder as a child going to Marshall Fields in Chicago.
Fifty years later, I still loved the architecture and the experience of going to the same store.
General stores, the staple of the agrarian age town of 100 years ago, disappeared about this time in the last century.
