Can Gen Y be trained in time to take over organizations from the Boomers?
This past week, both consulting for an association in Raleigh, NC, and in my online class, the issue of training and managing Gen Y came up. The young woman asking about managing Gen Y was herself a Gen Yer. Gen Y needs to be trained on how to manage Gen Y.
But then no one really has figured out how to manage and/or train Gen Y. And the clock is ticking as the Boomers exit the workplace and there's just not enough Gen Xers to go around.
Weathervane in our backyard this spring. The direction is clear now, but not the details.
