We're taking the effort for gender equality in education to those who understand it most: parents of boys.
Over the last few weeks I've given talks before parents of boys in small towns in Wisconsin: Prescott, Frederic, Amery and by the end of March will have done them in 9 communities across the state.
The turnout has been gratifying. Because parents are so worried and the topic not an "upper," am trying to include four humorous stories in the hourlong presentation. But the dads seem sad, and one mother walked out afterwards with tears in her eyes. It just hurts.
