Learning in the 21st Century is about Outcomes

Thanks to John Fitzgerald, Phd, of Ottawa, Canada, for this great comment in response to our post on the Denton schools starting to grade based solely on learning: "So is this finally about “OUTCOMES” (i.e. what is known, and can be done)?  If so the US could have started this 20 years ago.  Please see  paper (Washington Post) about  noted Finland educational expert Pasi Sahlberg.  It seems like meaningful American Instructional Innovations have bypassed American education, but have helped to improve other countries around the world that have stuck with some of these strategies on a national basis. Regards from loyal subscriber, John Fitzgerald, Ph.D. Ottawa, Canada"
