The answer to our last post's question: the quote came from The Inside of the Cup, by Winston Churchill, written in 1912.
Here's another great quote from the book, "I sometimes wonder whether we can realize how different the world is to-day from what it was twenty years ago." (page 69).

Yep, a new generation will bring change, and usually for the better. Churchill's character Mrs. Constable commented about a drastic change she had seen in American marriage attitudes over the 1890 to 1910 period. Other changes, in the 1993 to 2013 period likewise make society more tolerant.
