The next useless temporary bail out of a failing industry will be (drum roll please): Detroit!
Yes, the U.S. will "loan" (read lose) $25 b. trying to prop up the buggy and carriage, I mean auto and truck, industry. Think about what that $25b would mean for trains.
Think about how many Americans (40,000 a year) will die because of this latest bankrupt policy to fund the last century. Think about how this all puts America further behind. Think about how the government will eventually run out of money, and not be able to fund the future. Then stop thinking about all this.....
Think about all the Michiganders who can't get over the fact that their unskilled factory jobs are not coming back. Then think about all the knowledge workers in Michigan who are doing just fine because they have a skill (luckily knowledge jobs in the auto industry left about 20 years ago - it never even occurred to me that I could even get a job at "Fords")
