A little sidebar for you. I found a group of middle students who can write cursive! The near-extinct creatures live in Charlotte, MI.

Here's how I found them. I write this weekly column in the Bay City Times.
Anyway, a middle school teacher from Charlotte was vacationing in Bay City and saw my column about Christmas sweaters. Basically, I said that grown women should not wear any item of clothing that blinks and plays music. So she took it back to her class and had them write argumentative papers on it. And then she sent me all the essays! They are AWESOME. But what was even more interesting than their perspectives was that all but one were written in cursive (only one was typed).

It was like finding the lost city of Alantis!

Thought you'd find it interesting.
