Cem Erdem

As of today, our outstanding national dept is a whopping 8,422,951,495,818.35 for an estimated 299,172,485 of us. Which means each citizen's share of this debt is $28,154.16.

At the end of 2004, 44% of the national debt owned by the public is owned by nations and entities outside the United States

Think of it this way: a family of four owes $112,616.64 in debt with almost two members owing their portion to someone else in another country.

Interesting, isn't it?
