A web site you will find interesting, if you don't know it already, is flashgames.umn. The concept has amazing potential in teaching/learning.

I love this concept! Distance learning based on an online gaming format will be so powerful when it comes into its own, bluring the line between face to face and distance learning.

On a related note, I recently read in the WSJ that the largest segment of the the estimated 46 million online gamers is women between the ages of 35-49, followed closely by men ages 35-49. Not at all what I expected. If so many people in these age groups are already comfortable with the technology, your prediction may come true even sooner than 40 years.
